Do you have the original piece or pieces? They should be good templates.

If you have what's left of the original parts, or enough to make a pattern, any woodworking shop can fab them. If not, and nobody comes forward with a better idea, you will have to make a cardboard template for the rough shape, have it cut, then do a lot of fitting (or pay someone to do the same.) And, cletis, last time I tried to weld wood, I burned the heck out of it! smile

503pat503, there is a couple places that produces wood kits for various vehicles. I have found out it is not cheap!! It seem to me that one of the places was actually in Kansas...somewhere.

Hang tight. Someone will remember the site....or maybe do a search here and it'll show up....or look in the Links section.

EDIT:
Like here.. http://www.chevywood.com/

which I believe is in Virginia. check it out to get started.

Jim Carter has the bed wood kit for 1/2,3/4 and 1 ton trucks. They cut them in there wood shop on site.
1/2 ton kits
3/4 ton kits

These kits come in Pine or Oak lumber.

He's talking about the wood supports for the sheetmetal, not the bed wood.

I have a '34 truck that needs wood in it and i called kc wood and they aren't very friendly that's for sure. On top of that their wood kits are over 3400.00 for the complete cab doors and all. So i did another search and found a man named Jim at jim@autowood.net. Super nice guy to talk to and his rates are more reasonable, i will be using him for my restoration project. Check him out!

I checked with gm heritage center, they said there was known tech drawings of wood for this truck.Classic Wood Manufacturing in Greensboro NC.has wood for this truck.I'm a carpenter by trade, but didn't want to take the time to make the wood myself, it was worth the money to pay them.
