I have a 250ci in my 38 GMC that I want to put Langdon headers on But don't have the money, anyway I was checking ebay out and found this http://www.ebay.com/itm/320805012222?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619#ht_500wt_1048 thought it was cool. I think I am going to give it a try and see what happens.

| | | | | Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2005 Posts: 1,513 | The whole point of a split manifold is to keep the heat riser intact to maintain cold start driveability. $40.00 for an elbow with no studs or bevel seems a bit steep to me as a 2" gasfitters elbow will work better and set you back about $3.00. Pre and post heat are the key to success when welding cast iron and I compiled what I did here.

Where do you get a 2" gas fitters elbow ?

The last one I saw still had the GM parts tag on it help by a thin wire. That one had the heat riser in it. Split manifolds work fine and if you can keep the heat riser, even better.
