Went to put center caps on and noticed that the lugnuts were typical beveled style but the wheels use a shank style lugnut. I measured the thickness of the wheel, and searched on line for the lugs. ALL the lugs had shanks of .68 diameter. I ordered the lugs and when they arrived I found out the holes in the wheels are .62 ! No one sells .62 lugs, So the question is how to increase the diameter of the lug holes in the wheel. (If i cut the lugnuts down they will rust in the wheel). Thought about using a "hand held" adjustable reamer, but worry about getting the holes on center. It would be cost prohibitive to send them to a machine shop to have 24 holes done (even if they could figure out how to hold the wheels. If not, you may need to contact them in oder to get the correct lug nuts.
Another possability is that since the wrong nuts were used, the holes in the wheels may have a corrosion buildup, preventing the shanks from going in the wheel. You might see if you can clean them out if this is the case. You'll also need to inspect the lug holes for damage, as there really is no way to instal a cone seat lug on a shank style wheel without damaging the wheel. Same goes for other way around.

That stuff keeps bolts from rusting on steam pipe flanges, and that environment is far more severe than anything a lug nut will ever see.

My blazer has factory alloy wheels and it uses tapered seat nuts.
If you know the brand of your wheels I would check with a tire store or the manufacturer on nut recommendations.
