I found 4 7.5 x 20 mounted with new rubber and 4 9.00 x 20 mounted with 80% rubber. I was thinking of the 9.00s on the rear (more speed) and 2 7.5s on the front. They measure 3" difference in height so the question is will this pitch the truck to far down in the front (look stupid)? The 9.00s are not military tread and they are 10 ply.

I have seen 750s on front with 825s on the rear and didn't think it was to bad. I haven't seen the 750 with 900 rears

You'll create some steering wander by reducing the caster angle with the raised rear end. It might be necessary to add a thicker caster correction shim on both sides between the axle and the springs.

knuckles: well I wouldn't have said it that way but yes, it will look stupid, not to mention Jerry's point that it will create steering issues (re: safety) you don't need.

If the overall height difference of the wheels is 3 inches, wont that only effect the height difference at the hub by 1.5 inches, and isnt it going to be the height difference at the hub that determines where the suspension carries the chassis?

I know I'm pretty redneck, and cant tell cheap wine from good wine, etc... But I doubt that I could even spot a 1.5 inch difference in the height of the front and the rear.

I'm too lazy to do the math to figure out how many degrees that comes to for the effect it has on the steering... Would also have to know the wheel-base... The longer the wheel base, the lesser the detrimental effect to the caster angle would be, wouldnt it?

Another thing to think about is that the 9x20 will also be wider than the 7.50 or 8.25's so you may have clearance issues between your duals or to the springs.

As to looking stupid, put some blocks under your truck to simulate the height difference and see what you think. If the 9x20's are 3" taller it will only raise the rear end 1.5", not 3". I personally wouldn't worry about the difference in caster angle. It may theoretically cause a difference...but probably not noticeably.
