Antique radio picked up at Pomona at least 10 years ago.
When radio is powered up buzz-humm is all that comes through speaker.
Vibrator, caps, filter problems?
Any help appreciated.

I would suggest replacing all the capacitors to avoid doing any damage. What you are most likely hearing is the buzz from the power supply that has dried out electrolytic capacitors. In general it is usually not worth the time trying to diagnose problems until all the capacitors are changed. | | |
