I have a 52 Chevy 3100 with a 216 in it I want to drop the 292 I just bought in it I know there longer and I have to make new motormounts and all that. My question is I'm looking to build the 292 to be driven daily with a little more HP than stock, what should I do as far as internals and intake and carb combo. And also does anyone know of a good place to take my head and block to in the los Angelesarea for a valve job and resurfacing also I wanna be able to cruise at 65 on the freeway so I'm not sure what I should do to achieve that..

A 292 stock will have more than enough torque / power to accomplish what you want. A good tranny and gear ratio for the diff is what I would be focused on if the engine is in good running condition!
