| | | | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 90 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 90 | I'm getting ready to reface the gauges for my 37 Chevy, and have a question on the dividing bars between the upper and lower gauges. These bars appear to be painted in a cream color that matches the gauge faces, with a black highlight painted on.
What have other folks done for paint/refinishing these dividing bars?

At the time, it was Krylon Ivory. I used black electrical tape to cut the highlights from and applied them over the paint when it was dry. I made a stencil to cut the highlights uniformly. They came out very nice - I was happy with them
