I have 3 carbs - all with the 235 bases (larger hole spacing). Is ther a parts supplier for just the base? I do not want to buy a carb for $100 + for the base. Thanks! BW

While the Rochester B is not high on my list of carburetors, I have to say that many have problems with these because they attempt to mismatch parts. Malfunctions due to mismatched parts are certainly not the fault of the carburetor manufacturer.
Some 216 bases MAY interchange with 235 bodies, but most will NOT. There are several different port configurations from throttle body to bowl.
Jon. Good carburetion is fuelish hot airThe most expensive carburetor is the wrong one you attempt to modify. If you truly believe "one size fits all," try walking a mile in your spouse's shoes! The Carburetor Shop
