I'm pretty sure this was a GM accessory available only with the deluxe trim package. I can't wait for spring and sunshine, I've got cabin fever. Lucy and Desi have nothing on my short-short trailer! The only time I really miss my pickup, is when I'm hauling garbage. Oh, and plywood. Although the ply is supposed to fit between the wheel wells, it does no such thing on my truck. Plus, you have to leave the doors open, and then get so sleepy when you drive..... Now, I don't have to! I just clamp on the bumper hitches of my one wheel trailer, and away I go. With the huge overhang (better than 9' hauling ply!) its easy to smash the windows out of mazdas that get too close when you make a right turn. Its connected to the rear bumper, on two bumper hitches. The single wheel is a castor, and spins freely. When backing up, you don't counter-steer, you just back up normal like, although it is weird to back a trailer without turning the "wrong" way.

It is quite handy, though a bit of a pain in the neck to balance the trailer, and drop the two bumper hitches in place. One the rotten/soaking wet plywood is replaced, it will weigh half as much, and i think that will make it easier to handle. It is pretty entertaining to back it up, or to back in circles with a trailer!
