How would I go about finding out what my truck was painted? And should I maybe change it to something different!

seeing the vintage newspaper pics I'd guess it originally had the standard black fenders for starters - for body color you need to find some hidden areas that wouldn't have been done during a repaint, like under the back window rubber maybe or the body flange under the opening windshield edge .... pick any color you want, for what would have been available check here, enter make and year

Well I know the body was red and the fenders are black i guess the intear is what I am wandering about. I was told it should be brown.
