Considering the Juliano's lap/shoulder kit for my '65. Who's done this and where/how did you mount the upper attachment point (for the shoulder part)?

Thanks!

Cheers,

They seem to be ducking the question, Quack Daddy!

I'm interested in the doing the exact same thing so I hope someone waddles in here and starts quacking for us!

Good luck!

John

I put a 3 point belt in my 63 but don't know if a 65 gives the same access for the shoulder mount. on the 63 there was access between the inner and outer sheetmetal to fish up a large flat washer and nut stuck with ducktape to a coathanger to accept the bolt from the mount. hope that may help?

I'm gonna do a 3 point belt also, but that's way in the future for me. Someone needs to make a DIY for the tech section. This upgrade seems essential for anyone who will have their truck as a daily driver - just for the improved safety.

***Edit*** I just did a little search on the subject. This link describes a method for their particular belts and is for cars.

Our trucks have access through the bottom opening near the back corner of the cab - so the 1.5" hole they tell you to cut would not be necessary.

Anyway, it seems that a metal plate with a hole in it and a captured nut welded to the back of the plate would do the same thing as their special plate.

I installed Juliano's Lap / Shoulder last spring. I used some wire and a little adhesive to hold the backing plate in place while I started the bolt from the outside. Hope this helps.
