| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 91 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 91 | found a replacement rear axle for my 46 gmc one ton.Its a corperate 14 bolt from either a early 70,s J20 Jeep 4x4 pick-up or 3/4 ton chevy pick-up.Not sure as it came out of a swamp buggy project gone bad. The spring centers are 52.5" the same as the original.WMS-WMS with SRW hubs is 67",If I get DRW hubs which I am looking for the WMS-WMS is 63" the same as the original. Now for the good part, the gear ratio is 373:1 the truck drivability has improved dramaticaly over the 513:1 that the old rear end had.It also makes finding wheels and tires a breeze. Now I just need to figure out the front wheel and tire issue
