Anyone know a link to an article that explaines/describes the 4400, 6400 etc, etc designastions?
I'm most interested in 1 1/2 ton on up to 2 ton.
There seems to be a bunch of in between numbers that I would like to familiarize myself with them all to truly understand what would best suit me...

Many of those manuals are online in a very convenient format (thanks to Keith Hardy). Btw, the thing about AK is that alot of stuff comes up and never leaves... Too far to go back out... not much in the way of recycling plants, etc. One way trip- end of da road- you get what I mean.
It's going to take some time but I'm keeping an eye out.
