| | | | Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 104 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 104 | I ran the VIN of my new(old) 1952 truck thru the Buster and it came up with November 1952. In the car world, that would be a '53 model. What are the production months for the big bolts ?
I also read the towing tips and tried to go to the web page for Weeks-Garage and got a broken link message.

However the State issuing the title may have used January 1st...it seems to me that a lot of things got standardized around 1955 (States using chassis numbers not engine numbers on titles and vin numbers being stamped on the frame rails etc... When I ran the chassis number through Vin buster it came up as a 2 Ton built in August 1947. It was registered as a 1948 and the State of Maine Registration used the engine number as the VIN. Could this been a left over 47 sold as a 48?. I think when I register it here, I will try to register it as a 1947 with the actual Chassis number as the VIN.
