Can anyone advise whether a Carb govenor was a standard fitment on a 1948 5400 COE?
The assembly manual I have shows one fitted, My engine does not have one.
Upon stripping my engine 5 exhaust valves have the heads broken off. No damage appears on the top of the pistons.
My first guess is that the engine has been over revved? The truck has a two speed rear end.
The engine was a non runner when I Purchased the truck. Any help would be appreciated
