Okay, my head is going to explode. I've been reading stuff here and all over the web about hooking up a PCV on a 235, and I am confused. I'm tired of the oil drips from the draft tube, so it's something I want to do. Here's my problem - I just bought a new brake booster. Even when I've seen this asked, the answers go all over, but can I use the same manifold vacuum port for both the PCV and booster? I'm hoping for some fresh eyes on the question to maybe get a more definitive answer, or a good option if the answer is no. Thanks in advance.

Since the 235 engines only have one vacuum port you are really limited on options. You should be able to use a 'T' fitting and operate both. I had the disc brake/booster combination on my 56 along with a PCV before I converted to a V-8. It worked fine.

A GM PCV system was available on engines from 1948 onwards.

Also, older trucks (than 1956 or 1959) with PCV system also might have had vacuum-actuated 2-speed rear ends and hydrovac brakes (and maybe even other vacuum-supported devices).

Thanks guys. Looks like it's off to the FLAPS for some more vacuum line.

No go :-(

I need to replace my broken vacuum gauge so I can check how much I have, but with the PCV hooked up, the braking power goes to crap. It still stops, but it's no better than the stock. The booster feels like it's not working at all.
