I am a little confused as to where I need rubber in and around my cab, and where to get it.

1. Is there rubber in the door jams? to seal between the door and the opening all the way around? If so, does it attach to the door or to the cab opening?
2. Is there a rubber piece along the bottom of the door openings? What does it look like and how does it attach? Pictures please.
3. Is there a strip of rubber where the hood sits on the cab or just rubber bumpers?
4. Is there rubber in behind all fenders and under the headlights?
5. Door windlace, Is there a specific shape or size I need or will any windlace pretty much work?
6. Windshield rubber. Does this attach to the windshield frame or to the cab?

Is Steele Rubber the best place to source all these rubber parts?

HI '46. Your truck is pretty close to mine so maybe I can help.
First, definitely buy all the rubber products you can from Steele. The quality and fit is much better than other suppliers.
1. No rubber around jambs. There is an internal seal that is pinched between the inside metal trim and the body that seals against the door face.
2. There is a bottom rubber seal that is installed betwen the " rocker " trim and the door bottom.
3. There is a seal between the hood and the cowl. Stock is a stiff fabric covered piece. There are also rubber reproductions. On my truck, I used self adhesive foam tape ( not stock obviously, but worked great )
4. Fenders didn't have " fender welt " stock from factory. I installed it to close off gaps and stop metal / metal rubbing. Again....your choice
Not sure about headlights on your '46. Both headlights and parking lights on my '40 had small rubber gaskets.
5. I'd order the windlace designed for your model
6. Windshield rubber is a " Tee " shape that slides into a groove on the steel frame around the windshield. ( not on the body ) This is what sold me on Steeles products. Rubber I had from Jim Carter was very hard / stiff. I tried and tried to get it into the groove with no success. Someone recommended Steeles. It was soft and pliable, slid right in nicely. You install, stretch, trim to length, and butt glue with " superglue ". Softer rubber also seals better against body to keep rain and wind out.

Ditto on Steele. Haven't put it on yet but have trial fit it. Profiles they sell are updated and much better design but still fit the Art Deco's.
