It idles great, advanced the timing a little to smooth it out. She runs good on the primary but, as soon as the secondary opens it backfires (hard) through the intake. Anybody got any ideas??? Jets??? Intake leak??? I gave up for the night I'll get back on her tomarrow. Any insight would be great THANX. | | |

Was wondering if this backfire was experienced under load or just free-winding? Also, make sure you're tapped into the correct vac port on the carb.
I had a little trouble getting the carb to adaptor bracket to seal up....a bit of a miss-alignment with the slotted adaptor holes. Sure sounds like you might have a lean situation. Would imagine a call to Tom L. might be in order.
He'll bend over backwards to make sure you're a satisfied customer.

BAD REBUILD it's suckin' air through the throttle bushing looks like I'll be sending it back. Anyone know of any other type of carbs besides the holley and carter that will fit on the 1bbl to 2bbl adapter??? | | |
