The motor info doesn't match the car. I think it has a truck motor. I need to I.D. this because I'm looking to put a automatic in it. The casting numbers are Block # 3764476 Head casting # 3836848.
Serial # next to distributor SO 701L.

There is no lidting for an "SO" plant code, and according to the Heritige site, the "L" application code is for a '57 265 V8. Very strange.
