Ok, It's not like I don't know about cars and trucks, Rusty, my '51 3100, is my 72nd (that isn't a typo) vehicle and when you consider that I'm 46, lets just say I've "been around the block". That said...What is the slotted hole, to the right of the main shifter hole for? The e-brake is hard to the left, then the clutch, the brake, the gas, the starter, the shifter and then a hole. Is it for 4WD? Is it a PTO? Is it High-Low? Help?

Sounds like you may have a replacement floor pan out of a bigger truck. That slot would be for a driveshaft brake most likely.

It is for a hand brake (e brake, parking brake). The bigger trucks (3/4 ton and 1 ton) had a 4 speed floor shift and they had a mounting on the right side of them for the hand brake to bolt to. The bigger trucks also ...same thing.
