Does anyone know the correct amount of gear oil to use in a 3/4 ton Eaton rear for my 66 c20? It's empty right now. Thanks in advance!

I can't find a specific amount in my '67 Chassis Service or Chassis Overhaul manuals. Both just say to "fill lubricant to a level even with the bottom of the filler hole."
Still, that doesn't help determine how much to buy to fill-her-up!

Thanks. I have it jacked up at an angle right now, so it's not "on the level".

It,s been many years since I used to charge the customer for it but it seems like it was 8 pints/lbs.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
