The casting number on the block is 3836233 making it a '55-57 235 per inliners.org. However, he states there is also a plated attached to the block with screws which reads, CON4 G205. Does anyone know what this code is or what it might mean and why its attached via a screwed on plate? Also, without a doubt this is a full pressure engine right (since it's a '55 at oldest)? Thanks fellow Stovebolters! | | | | Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 Extreme Gabster | Extreme Gabster Joined: May 2001 Posts: 7,440 | It means it was cast on July 20, 1955. The plate was screwed onto the mold, not the block. | | | | Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 374 'Bolter | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 374 | Thanks Cletis you rock. So, it would be full pressure right?
