Put a Holley progressive 2 barrel on my 235 with stock manifold and headers...now having issues with linkage...I called Lokar Cable and they can hook me up with a pedal and cable...but not the bracket for the 2 barrel carb....Anyone know where I can get such a bracket..Without trying to make one myself....I can't be the only guy out there with this setup.
I'm also trying to go the linkage route...just checking all my options.

Is your problem that your linkage needs to move at a right angle to the engine?

Beltfed, The issue is that I can't figure out how to get the linkage from the side of my motor up or around the headers to the carb...making it line up and not jamming it. So thats why I thought about a cable...Lokar Cables said they had one I could use..but they only had brackets for 4 barrel...not 2 barrel. So I wanted to see what other folks have done.

I used a bellcrank to hook up my holley on my 65 230 with offy intake and headers. Pics here for ideas for yours.

That's different "gotgasd". I've never seen it done that way before. I used a bellcrank setup on my twin Rochester B's and early on for the Holley 390. I'll see if I have any pics still around for that setup. BTW, as I understand it, most people used the bellcrank setup.

Thanks for the info..I've never attempted anything like this..and I thought foresure some one has put on a 2 barrel with stock intake with headers...I'll get a coat hanger and try to mock up some kind of configuration...and go from there.

I know it's the wrong forum site..but I didn't get any positive responses at Hip-hop...I have a 54 with a 235 motor. Put a Holley progressive 2 barrel on a stock intake with Williams headers...

Looking into cable from Lokar...but they don't have a 2 barrel plate to hook up cable...? Again, no-ones done this before and come up with a solution ? Stumped..Please Help

Never done it before or seen that setup in person, and I checked your photos and don't have any more if an idea...
But you sound desperate for some advice.

All I can say is get in there and figure it out, think what needs to happen, what you can make so it will, and try.
Might take a few versions but just try something, I bet it comes together as you go much nicer than you can think of all at once from the beginning, just try.

Thanks for the kind words...I'm stuck on duty for 48 hrs....and I can't work on Jaunita and I can't find any info. on how to do it...or find anyone who has....
I will give it a go when I get home..I just hate to re-invent the wheel when you can learn from others experience and knowledge.

I'm not familiar with the Williams headers. But It just wasn't that tough with my Fentons. I used the linkage that Tom Langdon supplied with the Carter / Weber carb. That adapted the carb to an up/down action. Then I built a pushrod from the bellcrank on the side of the engine to the linkage. I used a piece of 1/4 steel rod from Tractor Supply. I used the original linkage as a pattern for the top and bottom, and bent the middle to clear the headers.

I suppose one could use coat hanger or welding rod to make a prototype for fit check, but it wasn't that complicated. The only tricky part was drilling the 1/16" holes for the cotter pins. The next time I'll thread the ends of the rod and use acorn nuts or nylock nuts.

Again, my experience was with Fenton headers, YMMV.
