I have just purchased a 55 Chevy 6500 flat bed dump on Ebay. Now I am having a problem finding someone to haul it from Lincoln CA to Pittsburgh PA. I have posted an add on a website called U Ship it but don't know the weight of this truck to give to drivers if they ask. Approx. what will this vehicle weigh?
Thanks in advance for any help.

The 6500 Cab and Chassis weigh about 5000# (curb weight from the factory) and I'm guessing the flat bed and dump will add about 2000#.

My 2 ton 59 6500 had a weight of ca 2700 kilos when I bought it. they checked that in custom.

So about 2,7-3,5 maybe, depending on the weight of the bed.
I have just a flat wooded bed.

The problem wasn't weight, it was size. 2.41 meters wide, 2.2 high, and 8 meters long ... smile First they tried top haul it with a ordenary trailer... they gave up, and used a more suitable truck:

Try to ask for a good enough truck... or else they might have to try twice smile

Good luck.. /Ulf
