in my panel. Got it from Jim Carter and it fit like a glove...even got the Stovebolt discount when I ordered it!

Chris

FYI: for the link to Jim Carter's site and many other vendors, go to Links , then Parts, then GM Specific

Are all your lines and everything hooked up? These aftermarket tanks have been reported to have metric fittings. Please let us know if these issues have been corrected.

Woody, I put one of Jim's tanks in my panel over a year ago.

I figured it came from Mexico but I must say... it's one of the best repop's I've seen and matched two old ones I had like a glove.

It was NOT metric.

Woody lines are in and same threads in tank as original. Yes I had heard that some tanks from other parts folks had metric ... not the case from Carter.

What kind of external coating will you give your tank if any?, and will you use a primer. Just cleaned out my tank for internal recoating and now considering something for the external surface which I have sanded down to a clean finish

I used rattle can undercoat on my '38's tank before reinstalling.

I did nothing...If I had it would have been out of one of those rattle cans.
