I have a problem with my car. I can't get it to start. I know its a carb problem but I don't know where to start. I think the choke is messed up, its a Rochester BC. Main issue it just wont start. I can upload pics and stuff. I just need some help | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | When was the last time it ran? A lot of times 235s that sit get oxidation on the points so there is no spark.

Oxidized as well. One new set of points later and she roared to life! | | | | | Joined: May 2011 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2011 Posts: 8 | I was driving it last month, but you guys are right, i did have to put a point set into it.
Right now its starting, but dies out right after like it has no fuel. How much does the auto choke on the BC effect running? Ill even take a video if you think that will help. | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | What year, and car or truck, do you have.

I have a 61 Belair. I know its not a true stove bolt, but after looking around youtube you guys run more 235s then anyone. Its a 61 235, with a Rochester BC (auto choke model) I have been playing with the choke lean rich thing with mixed results.
