Hi All,

I have a 51 GMC Panel with straight six (upgraded to a 270). What was the correct engine color for 1951 GMC Engines ?

Thanks

I didn't see GMC truck engine colors by year on that list, are they all Detroit Diesel green?

Thanks for the info.

I checked the OldGMCtrucks.com site, for GMC they say that from 1951 to 1958, the paint is :
Dupont Nason Full Thane 2K Urethane, 54701 BD, Code 514, Color Crimson Red - General Motors.

I'll see if I can locate a few rattle cans of GM Crimson Red.

Cheers
