I have a '51 Chevy 3604 and have removed and cleaned all of the sludge from my bell housing unit. I will sandblast the rust on the exterior but I want to know if I can/dare sandblast the interior surface, and could it be painted? Thanks, Wada.

Ok, I tried linking a pic of it but couldn't get it to work. If you go to page 7 on my Webshots, you'll see a picture of the interior. Thanks, Wada.

It is just a big hunk of cast iron. The exterior is the same as the interior so go ahead and go nuts on the finish.

That's what I figured it probably shouldn't hurt anything, as long as the paint can with stand oil some oil contact.
