Today was the day, I fired up OLD BETSY engine and she purr like a kitten, It was music to my ears. Sorry no photos but I will fired up again and this I will have photos and video. Next thing is to put the cab on.

I folks
Sorry it took so long to answer back. I had to get in touch with my old fire chief to get the real story. He said the name first came up in 1975 when they were cleaning the new (then)1974 GMC fire truck,that someone said "what about Old Betsy do we clean her too".Ever since then the name stayed with her even today,everybody know her and can wait to see her back on the road. Which I plan for Dec. 3 at ours annual Chrismas parade

I am planning to put her story on this site as soon as I have time
