Hi guys,
I have a chance @ buying a complete front clip out of a '75 nova to put on my '48 half ton. Also, included in the deal is a 10 bolt rear end out of the same nova. All for $450.00. Will this clip fit on my truck? will the tires fit in the fenders? This is a big step and want to do it right. Thanks for any info you can give me. Keenan

I have a 74 Nova clip under my 52 1/2 ton.I don't know if there is a difference in 75.The front wheels are Chev rally rims,7"wide 4" backspace. If I turn the wheels in a tight turn with two people in the cab the tires do rub on the fenders.Tires are 205R/65/15
The rear end is a 10 bolt out of the same Nova.Rims are Rally's 8" 41/2" backspace, tires 245R/60/15.The tires were real close to the box sides so a 1/2"spacer was used.Sorry I don't know the actual widths of the front or the rearends
Hope this helps you
Boyd

Keenan- the '75 Nova is 2" wider than the '68-'74 Nova. It will work but it'll be tight with the wheels/tires in the front fender openings. I used a '79 Camaro clip (same as '75 Nova) and used 15x6 wheels with 4" backset. 205/75/15 tires. I also tweeked the fender openings a bit and have adequate tire clearance. I don't like the idea of using 1/2" spacers for the rear wheel clearance because of safety issues. (Some guys will argue that it is safe , but I don't agree.) I added mini wheel tubes in the bed so that the tires don't rub on the bed sides. (Camaro 10 bolt axle.) Basically you need 1.5"-2" of clearance and they'll never rub.
