I havent had to much experience with vacuum lines on vehicles so im not sure were it would be safe to tap in. I plan on going with an electric motor when the funds are available but for now i would like to at least have something. | | | | Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 89 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 89 | I'd go a head and use manafold vaccum. A vaccum can/resivore of some sort may help as well.
I've already gone elect. found my vac unit is fine, the motor has major vaccum issues - as in leaking intake gasket.
Nutherwords, my orig vac motor is for sale if anyone needs one.

You wont be stepping on the accelerator hard enough to drop the vacuum with wet pavement. I drove one a long time like that & it works better then electric. Hook the vacuum line to the carb outlet that has full vacuum. They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Painted black, and tucked away under the cab inside a frame rail channel, it should be virtually invisible to the casual glance. Jerry

It now it moves a lot easier, and it also seems to move a lot farther too. Im going to put it back on the truck this weekend and hopefully it works. | | | | Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 231 Shop Shark | Shop Shark Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 231 | Ive got another question about the wiper, I hooked it up to the vacuum line coming out of the intake, when i pushed the dial one way (closed?) the wiper arm attachment moves slowly until the end of its stroke, then when i move the dial the other way(all the way open?) it snaps quickly until it reaches its full stroke the other way. what would cause this? | | |
