Does anyone know what a Fel-Pro gasket number is for the carb to insulator plate? They used the same gasket from 54 up well into the 80,s. There are various thicknesses. If it doesn't have a pathway from the power valve hole to the manifold vacuum you can cut a little hunk out of it.

Should be 2 15/16" center to center for a 235.
Sometimes a 216 intake/exhaust was used on a 235.
216 bolt center is 2 11/16"

The narrower mounting bolt distance would most likely be FEL-PRO Part # 9520.
| | | | | Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 244 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Oct 2000 Posts: 244 | I bought a Fel-pro 8987 gasket and the vacuum hole on the carb base does not line up. The mounting holes are 2 15/16" apart.
Does anyone have any other ideas other than just cutting a hole in the wrong gasket? I know there must be a correct gasket out there somewhere.
