Wondering if anyone knows where to get the right paint, for my in Cab, fresh air Harrison Heater. My Truck is 51Chevy/Shortbed.
I thought I read somewhere a little while back that Eastwood had a paint that was suitable. I did a search on the Eastwood site, to no avail? Maybe it was a hammer on finish color? Anybody ever buy this paint from Eastwood? If so, what is it called?

Many of the vendors sell heater paint also.

I have not seen a eastwood paint for the heater. Maybe someone who has used the eastwood paint will chime in.

A number of parts vendors have heater paint. I don't know if they are a match for the original.

Like Gus (DADS50), I used Hammerite Bronze rattle can paint on my '54 heater. I saw it first on Deve Krehbiel's site. Deve states that it is available through Eastwood. I couldn't find it on the Eastwood site. A local paint store ordered the two cans that I used. Google "Hammerite" for suppliers.

It is very close to the original color of paint that was on my heater. The original paint is in the center of this pic, the newly painted Hammerite is around it. The hammered texture is very pronounced -- more than I would like to have, but the color is good. Gus's heater has less texture than mine. Maybe my painting technique was off.

Rustoleum has a hammered bronze that I used that looks to be a good match. just lay it on thin, otherwise, instead of looking hammered, it looks pocked.
