bamaboy2223, are you anywhere near Chickasaw? My son lives there and he has a '66 Chevy stepside 1/2 ton. His truck was nowhere near as rough as what you describe when he got it. I offered to do the body work for him using actual repairs, no bondo plastering. That would have required getting the truck hauled to California.
A body shop gave him a completely dishonest low ball estimate that made the hauling look infeasible. He ended up spending over four times the original estimate.
My approach to doing body work is not mainstream. I was not interested in bondo plastering and took evening adult education classes in the early 70s and learned metal straightening and the various skills that go with it.
