For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: May 2010 Posts: 18 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: May 2010 Posts: 18 | I posted a question about installing an original exterior sun visor on a '58 Chevy Task Force truck in "Paint and Body", but got no responses. I work mostly with wood, so I had a question about how to mount the sun visor. Is it as simple as drilling appropriate pilot holes and using sheet metal screws, or self tapping screws in pilot holes. Any particular size? To look original would I use phillips head screws. Recommendation as to galvanized or stainless fasteners. I was thinking about starting in the middle and working my way out to each side. Use sealant or no. Thanks for any help or suggestions.
