Had the same issue with mine, I think they just give the factory in Taiwan a Polaroid of an old cab mount as a "technical drawing"...

I see two options. Mine wasn't quite as bad, so I bent the "wings" back till they touched the inner rocker and welded them in place.
Probably a better way would be to cut where the wings join the rest of the mount, move them to the correct angle, and cut a triangle out of a piece of scrap to resulting gap in the side. This what I wish I had done on retrospect. Clear as mud?
