Would a 1/2 ton PU be the same? The problem is: What are the two (red and green)wires coming off the coil and going over to where the battery should be? http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a205/gvdobler/66Burb2a.jpgI am ordering books and manuals, but don't have them yet. Thanks

Does this rig of yours run ? Kinda looks to me like someone HOT wired it, although I can't figure out why 2 wires.
Unless u know the reason these wires should be left in place, I cut them off, throw em away. The other wire on the + side of the coil gets 12v from the ign. switch, I don't see a need for that grn and red wire. Dan

No the Burb isn't running. It has been run sometime lately, but the PO took the battery out and now I'm trying to redo some stuff to get it started and work on getting it licensed here in Nevada. None of the signals work, nor the lights. All that has to work before I can license it. After getting it license, I plan to work on it and fix it up. I will probably go with a new harness at that time, but for now I just want to make stuff work long enough to have the inspection.
The mystery wire was a hot wire job I'm sure. One the members (Rustynut) sent me a real nice schematic of the vehicle.
I am trying to follow the circuit however, the "resister wire" is greek to me. I can follow the circuit okay but not sure what it does. I'm looking for a better written explaination of the schematic. I am a novice at all of this.
Thanks for the reply. | | |
