Does anyone have to ohms settings for a stock guage in 56 3200 235 for the water temp guage? The Car quest unit they gave me has 100 deg. - 441.6 ohms 220 deg. - 88.79 ohms. This sending unit it supposed to be for stock. It has 1/2" npt tap and I have 53 heads with 3/8" npt tap. Trying to find a replacement sending unit but need to know if these ohms are accurate for the stock guage.

if you got the sender listed for an electric gauge for a 235, it'll be "correct" for the 56+ gauge, but you have a 56 gauge, and a 235 with a 53 head? the 53 mechanical temp gauge had a sender bulb to fit the smaller hole, so the rating isn't the problem, it's making a sender fit for the later electric gauge - tricky .... there was just recently a thread here discussing that, you need to find a way to adapt or change the head

I read that thread and it seem to be working towards a mech unit for the head and change the guage. I am trying to find a compatable sending unit(3/8 npt) to match the guage. If I can be sure of the guage needs in ohms,I will work to find a sending unit that matches but also fits the smaller tap I have. If succesful it might help the fellow in the other thread as well as others. Thanks for your info.
