Whoo, thats quite a list! I have a couple of those. What is in the silver book? How easy is that and the accessories install books to find? I am trying to find out specific info about my axle. I am looking to find out the ring gear carrier part numbers. I bought what i think is a series 3 carrier. I have a box with the gm part number on it. I want to know what the carrier part numbers are that fit my axle.

I believe I failed to include the following:

CHEVROLET
1946-72
1/2 THRU 1 TON TRUCKS
SERIES 10-20-30

CHASSIS and BODY
PARTS CATALOG

This manual will provide the factory GM part numbers for your specific application.

The Silver Book is an annual publication, assigned at the dealership level, that identifyies vocational equipment, specific to the Chevy trucks for each respective year of issue. This publication is not reproduced and, to my knowledge, the only copies are the original survivors. I see them, although rarely, on eBay.

The Truck Sales Data Book is an annual publication, assigned at the dealership level, that provides specifications to all makes & models of each respective year of issue. The publication is in a three-ring binder, with tabs. The binder has an embossed Bowtie logo on it, as well as, Chevy Truck Sales Data Book on the cover.
