Got a 55 2nd series, thinking about going to elect.wiper's and getting rid of the vacuum. What all do I need to find besides the motor ???? Thanks

They got some here:

electric wipers

I am not sure about the conversion ones they have. Make sure it looks like it would work.

If you get the right one they bolt right up.

I swapped out my 57 vaccum style for a used original electric one and it looked like this one:

57 wiper


It did not neeed the little loop bracket that the old vaccum one had. Instead it bolted/screwed up to the plate on the underside of the dash.

It fit to the same arms but needed minor adjustment of the blades.

Also you have to run the wire to the ignition resister or to a fused junction box.

This one looks like it might mount up ok but it uses a non original type switch that would look odd in an old truck. It does not use the original style switch.
replacement type

My original vaccum type wipers had a push button to spray the window with in the center of the switch which was also vaccum controlled. I was able to use that old switch with the original electric wiper motor. You could not do that with the replacement / conversion type wipers.
