The Stovebolt Site Forums The Parking Lot Big Bolts Paint code location for 46 1 1/2 ton?

I'd like to find out the original color(s) of my 1946 1.5 ton. I can't find any tags other than the vin tag on the cowl. Did they even put color code tags on this year / model?
I see six different colors on this truck. I guess I can always get some sandpaper and try to feather edge through all the coats the best I can and go from there.
Were the fenders always a different color than the cab or was that an option?

If your interior is still there check the seat riser, it was painted as part of the body, so it would be the exterior color of the truck. Try the underside of the hood too, I've seen alot of people get lazy and not paint the underside, sometimes the insides of the door hinges get missed in a repaint, and they only paint what you see with the door closed.
