Good morning Bolters,

I'm relatively new to the forum. I purchased a 1954 Chevy pickup with short bed. The previous owner kept his bed strips but did not install them. I noticed on one end of the strips, there are two holes a couple inches apart and thought that end should be placed close to the tailgate but wanted to confirm.

Hello stickler, and welcome to the best site on the web! Use this link to the K-Mar site, who is one of the best companies out there for questions about and parts for truck beds for these beautiful trucks.

Stickler, when you place one of your bed strips next to your angle strips, the angle strip holes should match up with your bed strip holes. Put the end of the bed strips that has the two holes close together toward the front of truck. The angle strip will not have the hole in the very end of the strip like the bed strip, but the other holes will match the bedstrip.
