i have a 1965 gmc 1/2 ton pickup. it has the small rear glass. i have been restoring it for the last two years. i ordered new window rubbers and when i recieved them my rear window seal was not like my windshield seal. it was onelong seal. how do these work. looks like they should be molded together to form one piece. all help would be appreciated.

You have to cut it to length-I put them around the glass & in the truck beforehand to get an idea of length. You want it as long as possible, but not too long. Does yours have a locking strip(small bead of rubber that goes inside the larger w/s)? If so, install into truck cab, then use a plastic glazing stick(bone)to work the glass into the w/s, then apply the locking strip-there's a tool made for this also, or use the bone & patience.
Alternately, you can install rubber on the glass(lockstrip & all), then using a rope in the w/s groove pull the rope from inside the cab to install.
