I'm now wondering if the heater core will hold up under the higher pressure. So far it's been fine. Any comments? . Rick

I don't have any clue on the heater core, but am wondering why the 16lb cap. Wouldn't the pressure rating of the cap be determined by operating temperature characteristics of the engine. You might have a nice new radiator with a nice new cap, but unless something happened to the engine to make it run a whole lot warmer, the original rated cap would be the ticket.

The only reason I say this is that I have never seen this concern addressed before and I know lots of folks have done this swap....as a matter of fact, I did this swap. No problems with the core! I have not seen concern for this either but the other day I was on a rather long ride, no radio on just listening to the truck and I started thinking about the Old core vs the new radiator. It would be ugly for the passenger if it failed suddenly. I feel a little better now. Thanks again, Rick
