I.e the 230/250/292 engine? Is it not a direct bolt up? Are the adapter kits for the older 216/ 235 engines only? Some one please advise me on this will you? Thank you in advance.

Just be sure you get a Chevy automatic trans, GM also produced BOP (Buick/Olds/Pontiac)& Cad transmissions that will not fit a Chevy (without an adapter). However, some of the later ones had a dual bolt pattern bellhousing.

#70190 12/18/2006 2:06 AM | Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: May 2006 Posts: 8,351 | Also, watch out on the v-6 trannies. The 60 degree v-6 (2.8,3.1,3.4) have still yet a different pattern than 90 degree Chevy and BOP. You'll mainly see these in S 10s.
