A blanket over the windshield cowl is the best way to protect the paint on the cowl, but also apply masking tape along the leading edge of the hood. Two people can put it in place. Start by intalling the hinges on the inner fenders, along with the springs, to make them hold in the up position. This will allow a surface to rest the hood on. With one person of each side, you can insert the bolt on the high holes of the hinges and this will loosely secure the hood while the lower hood bolts are installed.
Adjusting the hood is another story and, done carefully, it is not difficult, just time-consuming, due to the numerous bolts, that can be adjusted, to make micro-adjustments, for a proper fit.
