My truck is a 1963 1/2 ton shortbox fleetside with a 283 engine and a 3 speed manual trans. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 6,100 | Hy dwm, I rechecked my Canadian book, there is only one wheelbase listed for 1/2 tons 115", the drive shaft info I provided is correct for a Canadian 1/2 ton, possibly American trucks are different. | | | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,097 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,097 | I doubt they are the same. The standard 3 speed trans is about 15" long.(Measured from the bellhousing mount to the end of the tailshaft). The powerglide is probably about 5" longer. Fred
