Can anyone tell me if it is threaded on the shaft or just pressed on? Also, it looks as if the pully is two pieces. Is this correct? We tried to heat it and tap on it to no avail. I think they press off. If this is done without the proper setup, your pulley WILL for be in two pieces.
My question is why are you taking it off! I just checked, and most replacement pumps come with the pulley installed.
From a rebuild standpoint, I don't know if a kit is available to do the job, but a rebuilt or new unit from one of the parts houses, or bolt suppliers sure would seem like the best way to go. Good luck.

I've got a 235 with a overdrive four speed sittin in the corner just waitin to go in too. I think I'm a little scared to start on it. Thanks for the reply. | | |

Thats why I have another post asking for a different rear end. cletis, this pump is for the 216 thats still in the truck. I don't have any help to put the 235 in so I was just going to get the 216 runnin for giggles. I think the 235 will use the same pump as the 216, but with the adapter plate I bought from pre68dave. | | |
