Have you guys found a source for antique size tires other than Coker? This link suggests that Coker might not be the best choice:

Thanks for responding to my inquiry guys. My '36 Chevy pickup uses 5.25/5.50-17. After what Coker put the other guy through I'd prefer to avoid that aggrivation.

Try Universal Vintage Tire Company,in Hershey,PA.
American made tires, that are about the same price as
Chinese made tires.

Thank you for that suggestion Doug. Do you know if there is a way to buy them through a local dealer to avoid finger pointing if there is a problem? A VCCA member "Tiny" just went through a nightmare with some Coker tires. It seems that dealing with a retailer would make it much easier for the customer to insist on problems being solved rather than being blamed on "The factory".

You could try checking with your local Goodyear dealer. many of them still have access to vintage sizes through Kelsey Tire, which is Goodyears vintage tire division.

Goodyear,Cooper,& STA (Specialty Tires of America-
formerly McCreary Rubber,in Indiana,PA),are the only
American tire companies left that I'm aware of.

I got mine from Kelsey Tire Co in Camdenton, MO. Their phone # is 1-800-325-0091. They are nice to do business with. Mine were delivered by Fedex and brought to my drive way.
