For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 105 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 105 | I thought I'd show you all a few pics of my progress on the old truck. I've had it for a year and a half, and in that time, I've had a new baby, and restored a boat. Now I'm focusing all my efforts on this truck. I pushed her outside of the garage today for the first time in over a year. Todays test was to get the engine running, up to temp, and check the clutch, column shift, rear end, driveshaft. I replaced all of it, rebuilt the tranny, and went through the engine. I had pretty good success, the pitfalls I found were a leaking freeze plug and some valve noise... Not bad for a 150 dollar engine. Enjoy! http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll114/propdude24/58%20chevy%20fleetside/Fleetsiderunning.jpghttp://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll114/propdude24/58%20chevy%20fleetside/Fleetsiderunning3.jpg | | | | | Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2006 Posts: 649 | It's alway nice to get the grease and grime work done! Now comes the fun of making it purty! Like I've said before, fixing these old rigs is like eating an elephant, one bite at a time will get it done. Keep on trucking! | | |
